The audit tests can be grouped into five categories:
Audit tests include basic population statistics, data stratification, checks for gaps in numeric sequences, testing for federal holidays, classifying transaction dates by day of week and tests using Benford's Law.
Cost recovery procedures include identification of potential duplicate invoice payments.
Data extraction includes a comprehensive suite of functions to enable the auditor to focus on the specific data relevant for the procedure.
Fraud and error detection includes a variety of tests designed to hi light "outliers" as well as detect potential duplicates using either the "same, same, same" test or "same, same, different".
Analytic review procedures include various linear regression tests, "napkin" tests and "mini-max.
Databases supported include both MS-Access, SQLite and MySQL.

Included in this section are descriptions of some of the more common audit techniques which can be applied. Each technique has a brief description of the procedure that could be used. In some cases a short video tutorial is also provided. These video tutorials vary in length from about 90 seconds up to a little more that three minutes. For best results, a high speed internet connection is recommended (although not required).
The auditor should keep in mind that for many of the test objectives, there are additional approaches which can be taken. All of the topics assume that the data being audited is available in either Excel, Access or as a text file.
The software has the familiar "look and feel" of Windows and does not require specific knowledge of Access, Excel or other data source in order to use.
